I have been struggling with my 3-year-old and his sleep for several months. Every night it is a different story: not wanting to go to bed, not wanting to sleep in his bed, or coming and getting into my bed in the middle of the night. It leads to not only me getting a good night’s sleep but I don’t think that he is either.
I have tried numerous things and have been beginning to get frustrated. Sometimes I worry that I will never be able to get a good night’s sleep again.
I have been searching for sleep solutions when I ran across the Boys Town Parenting Email Series. This weekly parenting e-mail series helps you to solve a parenting issue you might be facing right now. Whether you are tacking sleep issues like I am, or dealing with other issues such as toddler tantrums or disciplining teenagers, there is a variety of topics to choose from.
What makes this information different than all of the other voices out there? Boys Town is backed by over 100 years of research and experience, and their content is developed by a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and parenting experts. This means that you can trust them.
So back to our sleep issues.
When I found that there is an email series for sleep I figured that it couldn’t hurt to give it a try. As I said, I am desperate to get some decent sleep again.
This series, in particular, is four weeks long and focuses on the following topics:
- The Bedtime Routine
- Fear of Sleeping
- Dealing with Crying and Refusal to Sleep
- The Sneaky Co-Sleeper
I think that I can relate to all four of these.
I signed up for the series and each week I have been anxiously awaiting the next email. I think we have been making some small steps but I hope eventually this can get us on the right track for a good nights’ sleep — for everyone.
