I have not been known for my card-giving reliability. More often than not, I end up forgetting the card. It’s not that I don’t like giving cards, its that I simply forget to buy one. I’ll be out scouring the stores for the perfect give, and be so excited when I find it that I totally forget about buying a card!
Thankfully, for people like me, Walmart and Hallmark have a handy solution to this problem. Walmart has an extensive selection of Hallmark cards starting at just $0.47. This way, I can buy a bunch of cards and keep them in readiness for the next birthday or other special occasion.
Just some of the occasions that Walmart carries Hallmark cards for are:
- Birthday
- Anniversary
- Weddings
- Kids’ Birthday
- Baby Birth/Baby Shower
- Get Well Soon
- Thinking of You
- Holidays
I ended up getting cards for my sons’ birthdays, our friend’s daughter’s birthday, my parents anniversary, and my dad’s birthday. I will for sure be going back for more, but those were just a few of the occasions that are coming up soon.
The great thing is that these Hallmark cards from Walmart are the same high-quality cards that you could purchase at a Hallmark store. This includes not only the Hallmark cards starting at 47 cents, but you can also purchase pop culture cards, singing cards, and even a ®2015 MARVEL Avengers cards. I picked up one of these ®2015 MARVEL Avengers for one of kids’ or their friends’ birthdays. With a house full of boys, I’m sure that I will be able to use it for a party soon!
That way, when a special holiday is coming up (in particular birthdays) I can just pull a card out of the card box, fill it out, and I will have a card to give with the gift. No more running around at the last minute, or worse, suffer the embarrassment of not having a card!
Yesterday was my mother’s birthday. In the past, I will admit that I have gotten some grief over the fact that I haven’t bought a card. Yeah, it was that bad. Yesterday, however, I was prepared! I had not only picked up a card for my mother from my husband and I, but I was also able to find a “Nana” card to give her from my boys. The best part? I spent less than $2 for BOTH cards. Yes, this year I was a hero!
In addition, you can pick up great wrapping supplies from Hallmark at Walmart too. My son’s made a cute, personalized stepping stone for my mom and I bought not only a gift bag for it but also the tissue paper to put inside. In addition, I picked up a roll of wrapping paper which I used not only for my mom’s gift but also for wrapping a wedding gift. All of the wrapping supplies were amazingly affordable also.
Next time you are doing your usual shopping at Walmart, be sure to swing by the card section and check out the huge selection of Hallmark cards, gift wraps, and thoughtful gifts. You can then stock up for the whole year! I promise you won’t be disappointed!
