Even though technically Christmas is over, the celebrations aren’t. Many people are still hosting out of town guests in their homes, or are even attending holiday and New Year’s Eve parties.

Regardless of what the event is, coming up with a dessert can be difficult. You want to take something that can feed a lot of people and also has wide appeal. This is why fudge is one of my go-to desserts. Not only is it easy to make, but you can easily get 20 or more servings out of an 8-inch baking pan. I recently tried out this new Peppermint Marshmallow Pudding Fudge recipe from Kraft and Walmart, and let me tell you — you HAVE to try it.

Marshmallow Peppermint Fudge on PlateNot only is it delicious, but it is also perfect to take as a dessert dish or even to wrap as a hostess gift for your New Year’s Eve party.

Although it looks like it could be difficult to make, this fudge is quite easy. You are going to want to do a little prep work by lining an 8-inch baking pan with foil (preferably nonstick foil if you have it). Make sure the foils is handing over the edges of the pan.

BAKER'S Chocolate Fudge to be MeltedIn a large, microwave-safe bowl place the 4 ounces of chocolate (1 package), 6 Tbsp. of butter, and the water. Microwave on high for 2 minutes or until the butter is completely melted.

JELL-O Chocolate Pudding MixAt this point you are going to want to add in the peppermint extract as well as the dry pudding mix and stir until it is even.

Powdered Sugar and Chocolate Pudding Fudge MixOne cup at a time, add in the powdered sugar. Stir after each addition until the mixture is well blended. Pour the entire mixture into the foil-lined pan and press it down with a spatula.

Chocolate and Butter to MeltYou will want to microwave the remaining butter and chocolate in a large bowl for about a minute and a half or until, once again, the butter has melted. Stir the melted butter and chocolate until they are completely blended together.

JET-PUFFED Marshmallow toppingPour this layer over the first layer of fudge. This should completely cover the bottom layer, so you might need to use a spatula to spread it around. Use the JET-PUDDED Miniature Marshmallows and the crushed mints (or you could even use those left-over candy canes!) to top off the fudge. Just be sure to gently press the toppings into the fudge mixture so that they stick.

At this point the fudge will still seem rather gooey, so you will need to refrigerate it for at least 2 hours (or until firm). Use the foil to lift the fudge out of the pan, cut, and serve.
