Review and Giveaway: You! Lingerie Makes Breastfeeding Both Stylish and Comfortable

Breastfeeding should make women feel confident and beautiful, not frumpy and bland. Unfortunately, when many nursing mothers go to buy bras they find that the bras that are available are bland and purely functional or to get a “fun” nursing bra it is extremely expensive.

This is why I just love the You! Lingerie products. Their bras, panties, and camis are not only stylish and sexy, but they are also comfortable! It is like the Victoria’s Secret of nursing-ware.

I had the opportunity to test out the Sydney Maternity & Nursing Tank as well as the London Maternity & Nursing Bra. I have to say that I was really impressed.

As is the case with even regular lingerie, often the fun colors and styles aren’t of exceptional quality. I guess they figure if they draw you in by having “fun” colors and styles, then the quality isn’t as important. This is NOT the case with You! Lingerie, however. Their products are colorful and fun, as well as being comfortable and well made. Oh, did I also mention that they are affordable? With all the other expenses you have with a new baby, a quality nursing bra shouldn’t have to be another one!

So, back to the products.

The London Bra ($38) is one of You!’s newest products. Imagine your favorite t-shirt bra, but in a nursing bra. That’s the London bra. The bra is a soft cup, which means that it has no underwire (which I know can lead to clogged ducts for some women). Even though it doesn’t have underwire it is slightly padded so that nothing will show through and it will look seamless.

This sort of sounds crazy, but one of the things I like best abut this bra is that its straps look like actual bra straps and not like the granny straps that are on many nursing bras. It also features the signature You! hot pink bows, lining, and clips.

In addition to the London Bra, I also tried the Sydney Nursing Tank ($39.99). This black, white, and red nursing tank is also one of You!’s newest products. I have to say that I absolutely love this tank, especially that it comes in the black, white, and red color combination which is one of my favorites.

This tank features a double layered look and fold-down panels for easy breastfeeding. I also love that it isn’t fitted tightly around the belly. Any new mom can attest to the fact that they don’t exactly want to show off that midsection too soon after baby! This also just makes it much more comfortable. Pair this with a cute white cardigan and you have a perfect outfit for going out.

The only thing I might change about the Sydney tank is to have a little more support in the bra area. Right now, it has one of the shelf bras, but I find that I could probably use a little extra support. It would be nice to have some soft cups inside. Other than that, I have no complaints!
