Little E’s preschool class party is coming up soon so I have started thinking up cute ideas for treats. Being a blogger, everyone always looks to me for the cute and creative treats. I guess that means that I can’t show up with store-bought cupcakes!
This year I decided to make some peanut butter sandwich cracker reindeer using RITZ Crackers. I cured that not only would they be something that kids would love, but they are also so cute and are perfect for holiday parties.
Plus, right now when you purchase RITZ Crackers you can use the Ibotta app to earn $0.50 on one box of RITZ Crackers.
Making Peanut Butter Sandwich Cracker Reindeer Holiday Treats
You can purchase everything you need for this sweet and salty treat at your local Walmart. You will need:
- RITZ Crackers
- Peanut Butter
- Candy Eyes
- Red Circular Candies (for the nose)
- Pretzel Twists
- Meltable Chocolate Wafers
You will want to begin by making cracker sandwiches stuffed with peanut butter using the RITZ Crackers. Put a generous amount of peanut butter in the crackers.
To make the antlers, I used some pretzel twists. I experimented with some different kids, but found that the thin ones were the easiest to break into the right shape. After you have broken the pretzels, stick the ends into the peanut butter between the RITZ Crackers.
After you have attached the antlers, it is time to pour the chocolate. I put a handful of the meltable chocolate wafers into a glass measuring container and microwaved them in 30-second increments until the mixture was smooth.
Once the mixture is smooth and pourable, use a bamboo skewer to pour the chocolate into the center of the cracker and push it over the sides. I then used the skewer to smooth and shape the chocolate.
Place the candy eyes and red candy for the nose.
Let the chocolate harden. You can speed up this process by putting the reindeer in the refrigerator or freezer. Once the chocolate has hardened, you can further shape the chocolate by snapping off any excess.
These peanut butter sandwich cracker reindeer turned out so cute. Little E and Baby R were both so excited by them and can’t wait to try one! I’m sure the kids in Little E’s class will feel the same!
You can pick up RITZ Crackers as well as any of your other holiday entertaining needs at your local Walmart. For more holiday entertaining inspiration, be sure to check out the RITZ Crackers Social Hub.
