This review was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Pampers. I was provided product free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% mine.
When I brought E home from the hospital, I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. Sure, I had read “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” and other baby books that promised to help me prepare for this little creature’s arrival. Once we got him home from the hospital, though, I felt like calling the hospital back and telling them that they had forgotten to include the instruction manual!
We obviously survived that first year, but I will say that there were many Google searches and many calls to the pediatrician during that year. I’m not going to lie, that first year can seem overwhelming sometimes. I’m not sure any mom has it “all figured out.” Even with my second son, I don’t have it all figured out. That is why it is important to have plenty of trusted resources in your corner.
One of these resources is Pampers. Ok, I know that your first thought might be “This is a diaper company. Other than providing a product for my baby to poop in what can they do for me?” Well, in addition to Pampers’ high quality diapers and wipes, they also have tons of information and resources on their website to help you navigate this parenthood thing. One of their newest resources is the Stool Color Guide.
Although it may seem easy, changing poopy diapers isn’t all sh%&s and giggles. (Did I say giggles? I meant gagging!) All kidding aside, as a mom sometimes I was left wondering what was normal and what wasn’t. One poop might be yellow-colored and the next, green. This is why Pampers created the Stool Color Guide. Just print it out and store a copy by your changing table. This way, if you are wondering whether something is normal or not, all you have to do is pull out the chart!
There are so many helpful articles on the Pampers website that it would take me forever to discuss all of them. One article that I did find particularly useful was one on how to avoid diaper rash. Diaper rash is something that I struggled with with both boys, so something like this is perfect!
Right now, Pampers is running the Mommy Memory Match sweepstakes, which teaches you how to protect your little one from diaper rash while allowing you to win some great prizes. The grand prize winner will get six months of FREE diapers and wipes! You’ll also have a daily chance to play the Mommy Memory Match game and win one month of free diapers and wipes or a Pampers t-shirt INSTANTLY! The sweepstakes runs now through January 31, 2015.

Just trust your instincts because all baby’s are different!
Trust your own instincts. You know your baby better than anyone. If something seems wrong, have it checked out.
Relax and keep it simple!
Try and nap when they do and let things go. Keep meals. laundry and dishes up but other things can go.
Try to stop and enjoy your baby as often as possible. Time flies so fast and they won’t be babies for long.
Make sure to get out by yourself for a few hours, to keep the baby blues away.
Always sleep when your baby does you will need all the rest you can get.
Don’t be a helicopter mom let others help and give advice.
My advice is get sleep, take advantage of help offered and take lots of pictures.
You should try to rest when baby is napping
get lots of rest
I think that all new moms are nervous. I know I was. I know I was exhausted when I had a new baby. Sleep whenever your baby sleeps.
I would tell her to be sure to carve out some time for herself.
Sleep whenever you can get it and let people help you when they offer, even if it is as simple as making you dinner or helping you with some chores.
Get sleep when you can.
Try to nap when your baby naps
BE CALM…THIS WILL PASS AND TOMORROW BE CALM ALL OVER AGAIN
Relax and don’t try to be perfect…..accept help! 🙂
Don’t let others try to bully you into raising your kids how they think they should be raised, do what’s right and what works for your family.
I would tell her to trust her own instincts when it comes to raising her baby as they usually prove to be the best guide to knowing what to do.
Make sure you and the baby eat well. Also take pictures and/or video.
Trust your instincts. Just because something worked for someone else, you gotta go with what you feel is right with your own children.
My advice to new Mom’s is to sleep when the baby is sleeping so you will get plenty of sleep.
My advice is to sleep whenever you have the opportunity!
The best advice I got and would give is sleep when the baby sleeps.
