When babies are tiny it seems that all you do is feed and change diapers. It can be exhausting. I remember I couldn’t wait until E could hold a bottle on his own. I swear he knew that I was waiting for him because he took his good old time too. He was eight months old before I could get him to take a bottle by himself. In that time, I got really good at the holding him in one arm, resting my chin on the bottle to hold it steady and either use the phone or the remote with the other hand. I do want to note that while it could be tempting to prop the bottle in the baby’s mouth either at night or at bedtime, resist the urge because this could lead to the baby choking. Make sure that before using it your baby is able to grasp things and could potentially remove it if needed.
