Extreme couponing can be exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. You see these fabulous stockpiles that people have amassed and wonder how you can make one yourself. I have had so many people ask me how I do it and ask me to teach them, that I decided to write a series of blog posts that will walk you through how to make the most of your coupons and to make them work for you.
The first thing you have to realize is that these stockpiles didn’t happen in just one shopping trip. They were accumulated little by little over a period of time. If you try to replicate this all at once you will become frustrated, not to mention spending more money than you should.
I got started with couponing because I had quit my full time job to stay at home with our children. I was trying to use coupons to help supplement some of the income we lost when I stopped working. I’m not going to tell you that I was an instant success either. In fact, it was just the opposite. In my first two (or maybe three) attempts I was a miserable failure. I was overwhelmed and confused, and eventually became frustrated and gave up.
There is so much to learn that it can be frustrating and overwhelming (just how I felt). That’s why it is important to great it down into small bites. Start slow, and before you know it, you will be a couponing expert.
Over the next several weeks I am going to be breaking down how to get started couponing, beginning with the basics and getting more advanced. If you happen to miss a post, it’s ok. Just bookmark this page and you can see all of my extreme couponing tips and tricks!
