Christmas is a season of surprises. It is a season of magic. It is also a season for giving back.
Everyone has heard of fun things like sending surprise gifts in the mail, paying it forward in line, putting money in the red kettle, and doing random acts of kindness. Well, with the help of Macys and Savings.com I had the opportunity to do something similar.
I was given $100 to buy a $100 gift card for Macys. After purchasing the gift card, I was then able to look for a lucky customer to surprise in line.
I walked around a little bit, when I found a woman near the Christmas section who was buying some holiday kids clothes, some household items, as well as a few Christmas ornaments. I got in line behind her and waited until her items were rung up. That’s when I was able to offer to pay for her purchases.
At first she didn’t believe me. That’s when I assured her that I was being for real and that it was all in the spirit of Christmas. She was so thankful!
I love the feeling of being able to give back. Last year’s Christmas was a tough one for my family and I had so many people reach out to help us through so when I had the opportunity to give to someone this year I was beyond overjoyed.
Of course, I wish I had a whole bunch of gift cards to give out, but sadly I only had one.
While you might not get lucky and have someone pay for your purchases, there are still some amazing deals to be had at Macys. Check out these deals that I found with Savings.com.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful and blessed Christmas and I hope that if you get the chance to give back that you take the opportunity. Nothing is more rewarding!
