My son loves to pretend. Some days he pretends to be a doggie, other days a train, and even a pirate somedays. He can actually get really creative in his play. However, when most people think of pretend play and dress up, they think of castles and princesses — all things for girls.
Where do you go to find quality pretend items for boys?
At Great Pretenders, they sell affordable, quality dress up clothes for both girls AND boys. For your boy pretender, there are super hero capes, knights in shining armor, and even wizards! All of the costumes are too cute and something that any little boy would love!
Since my sons are still toddlers, many of the older kids costumes won’t fit them. The good news is that Great Pretenders actually makes a toddler line! My son has the Dalmatian cape and he loves it. It goes perfectly for the days that he is playing “doggie.” What is nice about these capes is that since toddlers can vary greatly in size, the cape will work for a number of years and can even be shared among children! This is perfect if you have multiple children, or even for when friends are over!
They also have a line where kids can color their own capes, eye patches, or crowns. Unfortunately, my boys aren’t old enough for these yet, but it looks like something that they would love when they are older.
Ok, so I don’t have any little girls but I can’t help but admire all of the cute girl costumes. It make me want to have another baby! (sort of.) Anyway, the princess costumes, fairy costumes, and tutus are absolutely gorgeous. If I had a little girl, I would for sure be dressing her in one of these!
The best price is that there is a costume for every price range, not to mention that these costumes aren’t the cheap kind that pop up around Halloween. These are well made costumes that are made to last. You don’t have to worry about them falling apart after just a couple of uses.
I can’t do all of the adorable costumes justice so you have to go see them for yourself!
