It’s time to turn up the heat! Whether you are watching the big game (or simply turning up the thermostat for the winter!) there is something about adding a little heat to your favorite side dishes.
Spicy foods are a big deal in my house. Ryan loves anything spicy. In fact, the spicier the better! When I told him about El Yucateco hot sauces he thought it would be perfect for some of our game day recipes. One of our favorite recipes is hot and spicy chicken dip.
This recipe is perfect to make ahead of time, whether you are serving it to your own guests or taking it to a get-together. Plus, it only uses 5 ingredients!
Making Hot and Spicy Chicken Dip
Before you begin, head to the store to pick up the ingredients you need, which includes:
- 1 eight ounce package of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup El Yucateco Hot Sauce Salsa Picante de Chile Habanero
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 2 cups of shredded or canned chicken
- 1/2 cup of your favorite shredded cheese
Combine all of the ingredients in a one quart baking dish. Make sure all of the ingredients are well-mixed. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Bake the mixture for 20 minutes or until bubbly. Serve the dip with either pita bread or some delicious crackers.
What is great about this recipe is that it is perfect for both a dip — or even a meal! In fact, I’m sure it will be gone before you know it.
So, my spicy food connoisseur tried the dip, and he gave it two thumbs up!
There are a variety of different flavors of El Yucateco designed to satisfy every kind of palate. One of our favorites is the Black Label Reserve Hot Sauce Salsa Picante de Chile Habanero since it goes perfectly with steaks, burgers, soups, and stews. Plus the flavor is mild, which makes it appropriate to use on food for the whole family. For those such as Ryan, however, there is the eXXXtra heat variety which only requires a few drops to give you an explosive taste!
