I love doing random acts of kindness for people. Little things that put a smile on someone’s face. This includes doing some unexpected things.
Most of my friends and neighbors have pets, including myself. I have three cats so cats have a bit of a soft spot in my heart. This is why I decided to make a cat-friendly BOO Kit.
I actually came upon the idea for the BOO Kit container accidentally. I had purchased a wooden crate for another project. The next thing I knew my cat was laying in the box. It was then that I knew that the crate would be perfect for the BOO Kit.
I began by spray painting the crate orange to look like a pumpkin. Of course a cat can’t sleep in a plain crate (OK, they could, but why should they?). This is why I made a cute no-sew pet pillow to go in the crate.
To make this pet pillow you will want to cut two pieces of fleece with about four inches of excess on each side. I chose green fleece because it makes it look like the top of the pumpkin. Place the two pieces of fleece so that the back sides are facing each other.
Cut a square out of each corner. Then cut the fleece into strips.
Tie the strips into knots. You will want to tie these knots all around the edges, leaving about four inches open. Use batting to fill the pillow, but don’t overfill it. Then tie the rest of the strips to close the pillow. 
I embellished the outside of the crate with some rhinestone embellishments that say “BOO.” I also added some American Greetings® Halloween stickers.
I put some cat-friendly treats including Temptations® classic treats for cats in tasty chicken flavor and savory salmon flavor. In addition, I put three packages of SHEBA® PERFECT PORTIONS™ in Chicken Paté.
American Greetings® has a variety of cute products to help package your BOO Kit contents. I tucked the Temptations® treats into a cute gift bag with some cute candy corn tissue paper.
I tucked all of this into the crate and decided to deliver it to one of my friends who has several cats herself. I knew that it would be something she (and her cats!) would love. I placed it on her front porch where I knew she would find it after work.
These BOO Kits are perfect for delivering to friends, coworkers, and even teachers. It is a fabulous way to bring a smile to anyone’s face.
