I will admit it, I don’t like to cook. I like to bake, but not cook. That is why I love frozen skillet meals such as the Contessa World Cuisine line. Tonight my husband and I tried out the Chicken Chow Mein variety. N is at his mother’s house and of course E is still eating baby foods, so this meal for two was excellent.
We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious these meals were. Oftentimes, premade meals that come in a bag are somewhat lacking. These meals were actually very flavorful and the sauces tasted great. The only thing is that the noodles burn pretty easily, so make sure that you stir the mixture frequently and keep an eye on it.
These meals are super-easy, and are ready in ten minutes. These are made with high quality ingredients, no msg, no trans-fat, no artificial colors or flavors, and Contessa even has multiple gluten free options.
Contessa World Cuisine brings the flair of authentic flavors to 18 meal varieties representing cultures from around the world, including Asian, Italian, and Latin dishes. Also included is my favorite seafood. Some examples of dishes include Beef Mongolian, Broccoli Beef, Chicken Alfredo, Florentine, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Stir-Fry, Italian Sausage Rigatoni, Jambalaya, Orange Chicken, Paella, Sesame Chicken, Shrimp Alfredo, Shrimp Fried Rice, Shrimp Primavera, Shrimp Scampi and Linguini, Shrimp Stir-Fry, and Vodka Chicken Penne. They also recently introduced two new varieties of frozen skillet meals to their line up including Shrimp Alfredo and Shrimp Fried Rice. The brand also now features modified recipes for more flavorful sauces.
Contessa World Cuisine skillet meals for two are available in the frozen meal section at retailers including Walmart, Meijer, Publix, Food Lion, Giant Eagle, Schnuck’s, Hannaford Bros, and more! They retail for $7.99- $8.99 depending on the retailer.
