I am one of those people that doesn’t like to show excessive cleavage (most of the time) so when I recently had the opportunity to review Cleava Snap-to-Bra cami I was really excited. The cleave is a small piece of fabric that snaps to each bra strap in order to give your outfit a more layered look.
I have a dresser drawer filled with camis, but one of the downsides to layering with a cami is that often it can look and feel bulky. For example, many of my layering camis are from New York & Co. Although this is a great company and I love their clothes, their camis have a shelf bra in them, so when you are wearing them it is like you have four layers on (bra, shelf bra, cami, and shirt). In the summer this can get awfully hot! Cleava is nice because it eliminates unnecessary layers and makes clothes much cooler and lighter.
Another great thing about Cleava is that it is perfect for breastfeeding moms. Instead of struggling with layers of clothing, you can pair Cleava with a nursing bra and when the baby is hungry it is super-easy to feed. You can even use Cleava to cover yourself — super convenient!!
Some of the other things that I liked about Cleava are:
- It goes on and off quickly, meaning you can easily remove it after work before heading out
- It is lightweight and comfortable. I forgot I was even wearing it, unlike heavy camis which can be hot and uncomfortable.
- Easy to care for. Unlike bras and some other delicates Cleava can be washed and dried like any other clothes.
- It comes in a wide variety of colors, including ones with lace edges and even rhinestones!!
There were a few downsides to Cleava though, although most are minor.
- Depending on the sheerness of the shirt you are wearing over the Cleava, it is possible to see the Cleava underneath the shirt (this can be avoided by wearing a Cleava that is a similar color)
- For me, I felt as if there could be another set of snaps on the bottom of Cleava so it would have a tighter fit around my bra, but I was able to solve this by tucking any excess under the underwire.
- They are a little pricey with a price of $29.95 to $34.95

Unfortunately, I would need to use it with ALL of my shirts since the crossover style is the most flattering for us fluffy girls:) Thats mostly what I own (other than tshirts of course:). mami2three@aol.com
I have seen a lot of tops that I really like except they were to low cut and I wouldn’t buy them. I would were it with one of those shirts.
This looks like a great product! I have my fingers crossed. 🙂
Oh, goodness – lots of them! I LOVE the one Cleava I have – another great advantage is that fit is not a big issue. With camis, you have to get the right size. And then, you may have to get maternity ones and non-maternity ones. These just FIT, regardless!
I would probably wear one of those everyday. I definitely have more than enough on top, and since I’m short, I always feel like I am hanging out. The Cleava would sold many a boob problem for me.
I would use with most of my tank tops they sit kinda low
