I recently had the opportunity to partner with The Motherhood and Chick-fil-A. Although I was compensated for attending the event and writing this post, all opinions are strictly my own. #CFAPittMoms #CHICKFILAMoms
Have you been to your local Chick-fil-A recently?
Most people, when they think of Chick-fil-A, think of their excellent chicken sandwiches. However, there is way more to Chick-fil-A than their famous chicken sandwiches and cute cows. In fact, Chick-fil-A is building family experience and family memories.
Many people are familiar with Chick-fil-A’s “Dress Like a Cow” day or the “Tax Day” promotions, but did you know that they also do many family-friendly, in-restaurant events. Honestly, until recently, neither did I!
Kid’s Club
We recently attended a Kid’s Club event at our local Greengate Centre Chick-fil-A location. The theme of that evening was “Let’s Pretend” and there were several pretend stations set up such as a Play Doh bakery, post office, grocery store, doctor’s office, and even face paining!
The event was designed for kids of all ages, which meant that there were things that Baby R could do as well as things for Little E. R was much more interested in the pretend doctor’s office and the grocery store, while E loved the face painting and Play Doh bakery.
Mystery Dinner Night
Another Chick-fil-A event that we went to was the “Case of the Missing Lemons” Mystery Dinner Night at the Eastgate Chick-fil-A store. This event was geared more toward preschool and elementary-aged children although we did take Baby R and he enjoyed it, but it was on a different level. Little E and N worked together through the six clues, which eventually lead to a behind-the-scenes tour of the Chick-fil-A kitchen which E absolutely loved!
These are just two of the many events that Chick-fil-As sponsor throughout the year. Building strong families is a cornerstone of Chick-fil-A’s values. In a day in age where we are consumed by busy schedules, these family events give families a chance not only to enjoy good food together, but also to have time to converse and enjoy each other’s company.
Our family really enjoyed both events and the boys are already asking when the next one will be. And I can’t wait to take them.
To find out what family-friendly events are being held at a Chick-fil-A near you, visit the Chick-fil-A website and choose the restaurant locator. From there click on the Events tab and you can see all of the events taking place at that restaurant. We hope to see you there!
