I will admit it. I hate cleaning my fan blades. I use the ceiling fan in the bedroom quite often, so therefore it tends to get pretty dirty. In the past when I have tried to clean the blades it has been a big ordeal. Since the fan was above the bed, I would have to cover the bed with a sheet in order to catch all the dust (because who wants to sleep in dust later?).
Everything I tried using (clothes, Swiffers, etc.) just pushed the dust off the blades and onto the bed and around the room. Then I found this super-easy way to get the blades cleaned.
All I did was take an old pillow case and put the case over the blades. I also put a few dryer sheets into the case so it would help attract the current dust, and will help repel any future dust. Then I just slid the case off the fan, and all of the dust came with it. After I did all of the blades then I just threw the pillowcase in the wash.
Easy-peasy!
