The holiday season is upon us and it’s that time of the year when we will be attending holiday events and get-togethers. Ths means that you need to be prepared to host a gathering or even bring a dish.
I absolutely love being able to get together with friends and family and enjoy each other’s company. The problem is that I never like showing up empty handed. I also don’t have time to create multiple elaborate desserts.
So what is a party-loving girl to do?
I love being able to prepare multiple desserts at a time so when a party comes along I will be ready. That’s why this Chocolate Chocolate Chip Frozen Pudding Pie is perfect.
Delicious Chocolate Chocolate Chip Frozen Pudding Pie
To make this recipe you will only need a few ingredients to make this pudding pie. You will need:
- 1 ½ cups new Land O Lakes® Buttercream Style Half & Half
- 1 package (3.4 ounce) instant chocolate pudding
- 1 carton (8 ounces) frozen, whipped topping; thawed and divided
- 1 chocolate crumb crust
- Mini chocolate chips, divided
In a large bowl, combine the Land O Lakes® Buttercream Style Half & Half and pudding mix. You will want to let it stand for a few minutes, or at least until it is soft-set. Then stir in the first half of the mini chocolate chips. However many you would like to use is up to you. Then, fold in the 2 cups of whipped topping.
Pour into the crust.
After you have poured the mixture into the crust, you will want to spread the remaining two cups of whipped topping over the top and sprinkle it with the remaining chocolate chips. Cover the pie and freeze for several hours or until firm.
What is great about these pies, is that you can make up several of them at a time and freeze them so whenever you need to bring a delicious dish to a party, all you have to do is pull a pie out of the freezer!
