DIY Microwavable Heating PackChronic pain can be miserable to deal with. Whether it is dull, aching muscles or the sharp, pounding headaches, it is all connected. I’ve tried so many ways to deal with it: the over the counter medications, the prescriptions, everything.

I’ve suffered from chronic migraines since I was in high school and over the years I’ve found that they have so many triggers. It can be eye strain, muscle tension, stress, and a myriad of other reasons. Neck and back tension (and subsequent pain) are a big trigger though.

My neck and back pain and tension probably comes from sitting at a computer for several hours a day. Unfortunately, two pregnancies haven’t made my back any better, in fact after two large babies it has just gotten worse. Like pain everyday worse. Between the backaches and the headaches it can get pretty frustrating sometimes. Especially since I don’t want to just be taking over the counter pain relievers all the time.

Recently, I found out about another option, called Curamin® Stop Pain Now. Curamin® is a dietary supplement, found at your local health food stores, which doesn’t just mask pain but get to the source and stops it.

CuraminSupplementsThis isn’t just a random supplement, but Curamin® contains clinically studied ingredients for safe pain relief. In fact, it has provided life-changing benefits for hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Plus, Curamin® is safe, effective, and nonaddictive.

In addition to using Curamin®, I’ve found that using a heat pack helps to relax my muscles and relieve tension in my neck and back. One of the best ways I’ve found to do this is with a homemade rice heat pack.

Rice Heating Pack Tutorial

You will need a few supplies such as:

  • 18 x 24″ piece of cotton fabric
  • Bag of rice
  • Matching or coordinating thread

Begin by cutting a piece of cotton fabric into an 18 x 24″ section. Fold it in half with the wrong side facing out. Pin the edges and sew up three sides, leaving a short side open.

StitchedHeatPackAfter you have sewn the three sides, turn the fabric so that the right side is facing out. Using a marking pencil, make two lines down the front of the fabric. Stick on these parallel lines so you have three tubes.

PouringRiceUse a funnel to fill the three tubes with rice. Fold over the open edge and stitch it closed. Another option is to put a few drops of essential oil in with the rice for some extra fragrance.

HeatingPackWithCuraminNow all you have to do is pop the rice heat pack in the microwave and use it to help relieve muscle pain. Pair it with Curamin® and you have a formidable pair!

Curamin_StorePIcYou can pick up Curamin® in the dietary supplement isle of your local health food store, such as Nature’s Way in Greensburg, PA.
