Cooking is a bit of a challenge in our house. Now that I am solely responsible for making dinner each night, I have been forced to expand my cooking skills.
While I have been working on my own cooking skills I have also used this as an opportunity to develop my sons’ cooking skills as well. I try to include them in easy aspects of making the meal such as mixing and pouring. The love the feeling of being a part of the process.
In fact, I have even made the boys their very own cooking kit which includes a spatula, whisk, spreader, and even a miniature grater. They absolutely love it!
One of the meals that I involve my boys in making is my Fall Apart Slow Cooker Balsamic Rosemary Chicken.
Fall Apart Slow Cooker Balsamic Rosemary Chicken Recipe
This is an easy and delicious slow cooker recipes which takes less than 15 minutes to prepare. You will need:
- Package of chicken breasts
- Bottle of balsamic dressing
- Several sprigs of fresh rosemary
Begin by trimming several chicken breasts. Place the chicken breasts in a crock pot. I had my son help me with pouring in the dressing and drop in the sprigs of rosemary.
Set the slow cooker to low and allow it to cook for four to six hours. Every so often, turn the chicken breasts to ensure tat no part of the chicken dries out.
Of course, with an easy and delicious meal you also need an easy and delicious side. That’s why Uncle Ben’s Ready Rice is perfect for cooking with my boys. In fact, Uncle Ben’s rice is committed to getting kids to cook.
