Before I was married, I lived in a townhouse with my three cats. This was before having a husband and before having E. At that time Tango, Spunky, and Tiger were my babies. Needless to say I was very overprotective of them.
Unfortunately for me, Tango and Spunky are exceptional hiders, and Tiger would bolt out the door whenever he had the chance. I’ve found Tango hiding in the rafters, on shelves, and in any other nook and cranny he could find.
In fact, I was so worried that one of them would sneak out before I headed off to work that I would give them a few cat treats on the living room floor before walking out the door. That way I could look through the front window and make sure they were all still inside before I left. Crazy, I know.
This is when a device such as the Cat Caller would have been a lifesaver! The Cat Caller is a remote locator that attaches to your cat’s collar. A wireless remote keychain transmits a unique signal to each individual receiver. There is also a “panic button” that sends a signal to all receivers at once. It is said to work through walls, closets, indoors and outdoors.
You can purchase a combo kit which comes with three receivers and remote control or a single pack which only has one receiver and one remote. Although the name is Cat Caller, these collars can be used on not only cats but dogs, ferrets, rabbits, or anything else that can wear a collar.
Cat Caller has given me the opportunity to giveaway one of the single ($19.95 value) packs. The giveaway will run from December 10 through December 17 at 11:59 PM EST.
We just moved into a house that was built in 1926 and the rooms don’t have anywhere to hide, but one morning I was looking all over the house calling my baby, after panicking thinking she got out I found her in the bathroom, she squished herself into the drawer of the bathroom vanity, mind you she is a 16lb cat (picture Garfield) and the drawer wasn’t even big enough for a hair dryer! Some how she managed to shut the drawer as well!
I once found my kitty in a suitcase that was packed and closed but not zippered—scared me to death!
In the closet in a box!!
