*Note: I received a complimentary copy of the Bible from Tommy Nelson, however, all opinions are my own.*
I remember when I got my first Bible. It was one of the Adventure Bibles that many of us had at that age. I would keep my Sunday School papers tucked between the pages and had highlighted my favorite verses. I even bought a cover for the Bible so that I wouldn’t lose my papers and notes.
Since that time, I have owned several other Bibles, but none of them have been as well used as that first one. Now that I have a son of my own, I know that once he is old enough to have his own Bible, I will be getting him one. A perfect Bible for this, would be the Tommy Nelson Nature Bible.
Camping is about new adventures, fresh air, making new friends, and campfires—but mostly it’s about enjoying God’s creation. Kids can pack this easy-to-understand International Children’s Bible® to help them dig deeper into the wonders of nature created by our amazing God. With a cloth case and zipper, this Bible will hold up well during outdoor excursions and devotional time under the stars.
I love the fact that the Bible zips, so it will keep all of your child’s special papers safe. I remember more than once, dropping my Bible and all of the papers that I had stashed inside flying everywhere. Not with this Bible! The zipper keeps everything safe.
It also has some inserts such as “How do I pray?”, “How do I forgive?”, and “How do I know Jesus loves me?” which are great for children who are just starting to understand God’s word.
The only thing that I might change about this Bible is that the print seems to be a little small which might be difficult for early readers.
Overall, I highly recommend this Bible as something for either you own young ones, or would even make a wonderful gift!
My first bible was a Good News Bible. My Sunday School teachers gave it to me after I memorized the names of the books in the Old Testament.
I remember my first bible very well. My grandpa and grandma took me to the book store to pick it out and they had my name engraved on it. Very special memory.
It was mine and the only one in my home.
Mine was either a (gold) Good News Bible or the (Maroon) Adventure Bible. Both are worn and highlighted, and still on my bookshelf!
I do not remember my first Bible nor do I remember a time when I did not have a Bible.
My first bible was given to me in 3rd grade by the Sunday school. What was special about it was that since my dad was the superintendant of Sunday School, he presented it to me.
i got my first bible when i made my First Communion.
I remember my first bible because it was from my mom who had it when she was a little girl and whose own mom had received it when she was the same age.
My first bible was a picture bible given to me at birth.
