DelGrosso's Lazy River
Where else can you get a view of the mountains like this from your lazy river?

Nothing says summer relaxation like some quality time floating in a lazy river. While there are places in the area where you can actually float on the river, if the man made variety is more your speed, then this 1,200-foot lazy river at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park & Laguna Splash is something that you have to experience.

Located in Tipton, PA, DelGrosso’s is a family-owned park which is an easy drive from Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. The park boasts abundant free parking as well as a fantastic view of the mountains as a backdrop.

We’ve been to lazy rivers before, but the River Lazio at DelGrosso’s Laguna Splash is the first we have seen one that is actually interactive.

The River Lazio at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park features interactive water features such as cannons, sprayers, and fountains.

After entering the water and grabbing a tube, its time to kick back and relax — or get wet with fun features such as detonators, sprayers, water cannons, tipping wine barrels, and of course, a giant Leaning Tower of Pisa.

If your goal is to get absolutely soaked, then the Leaning Tower is the attraction for you. The tower borders the River Lazio and Bambini Cove. This mean, if you aren’t watching where your tube is headed, it could lead to a lot of water coming your way!

If getting soaked isn’t quite your thing, there is also an option to enjoy the lazy river without getting sprayed or splashed. If you stay to the right side of the river you will stay dry. If you decide to get adventurous, however, all you have to do is move to the left side to partake in the interactive water features and get wet.

There is so much else to do at DelGrosso’s Park in addition to the River Lazio, including a wave pool, and 30 additional rides in the ride section of the park. You’ll also want to be sure to check out some of the park’s delicious food and fun (and reasonably priced!) games as well. Be sure to check out the DelGrosso’s website for tickets and operating schedule.
